COVID-19 Wraparound Services, Community Engagement, Education and Outreach 

Oregon Latino Health Coalition is a proud partner of Multnomah Health County Department (MCHD) and Oregon Health Authority (OHA). We are currently providing support and educating the Latino community on vaccine boosters, vaccinations, quarantine procedures and the importance of early detection to avoid contagion, through at-home tests.

Our Promotoras de Salud (or community health workers) support community members who have tested positive for COVID-19 within Clackamas, Multnomah or Washington Counties as part of the COVID-19 Response Team.

Healthier Oregon / Oregon Health Plan

As of July 1, 2022, adults 19-25 and 55 and older are now eligible for Full Oregon Health Plan (OHP) benefits and other services and supports, regardless of their immigration status. OHP is free health coverage for people who live in Oregon and who meet income and other criteria. Full OHP and medical assistance benefits include services like medical, mental health, dental, prescriptions, tests, x-rays, hospital care and rides to and from health care appointments. 

This was made possible through House Bill 3352, a historic achievement involving tremendous efforts  and leadership from Oregon Latino Health Coalition, SEIU and other partners throughout Oregon. 

To support the successful implementation of Healthier Oregon, OLHC, a certified OHP Assister organization, is partnered with the State of Oregon to provide culturally and linguistically responsive OHP outreach, enrollment and system navigation services to Latinx immigrant communities in Clackamas, Washington and Multnomah Counties. This program is based on the Promotora (or community health worker) model.
